Big Lagoon County Park has a little something for everyone and is one of the places on the Northern California Coast where you can truly find the peace and serenity that comes with the beauty of the outdoors.
The Lagoon itself is a popular area for sailing, windsurfing, camping and kayaking.  There are also beaches on the Lagoon side where you can throw out a blanket and relax, swim and have fun.
The Lagoon and the Pacific Ocean are seperated by a long sand spit which is great for nice walks and gives visitors two different environments in which to play.   The beach is clean and beautiful as well.
There are plenty of places for picknicking, swimming, beachcombing and relaxation.  The area also offers lots of opportunity for hiking; including the Big Lagoon Beach Trail or trek south to Agate Beach, part of Sue-meg State Park.
