Trinidad - Houda Point & Camel Rock

Scenic Drive
Trinidad, California 95570
Northern Humboldt

Houda Point is one of a handful of beautiful coves that line the coast in the Trinidad area. Parking is at the top of the bluff and you have two beach options (depending on tide). You can drop down to the left or the right or stay along the top of the bluff and walk out to the point for some incredible views of the coastline in both directions.
How to get there:
From Highway 101, take the Trinidad exit toward town.  At the four way stop, turn south on to Scenic Drive.  Houda Point will be a few miles down the road; south of Luffenholtz Beach and just north of Moonstone Beach.
More info:
Be aware of the tides.
Other things to do in the area:
There are parks and beaches up and down the coast from Houda Point.  Just south of Moonstone Beach is Little River State Beach and Clam Beach where you can also pick up the Hammond Trail for a nice walk or bike ride.  Head north along scenic drive and it will lead you to places like; Trinidad State Beach, College Cove and Sue-meg State Park
