This dog friendly beach is a great place to play along the coast as the waves crash at your feet.  There are two trails from the parking lot that conntect about half way to the beach and lead you out to this gorgeous piece of coastline.  On a sunny day, the views up the coast are pretty incredible.  
How to get there:
Take Young Lane from New Navy Base Road (Hwy 255).  Young lane is 2.9 miles north of the Samoa Bridges.

Once you pull onto Young Lane, you'll hit a 't'.  The main parking lot is left.  There is some additonal parking to the right. 
Other fun things to do in the area: 
The Samoa Dunes Recreation Area is south about 5 miles and is a gorgeous place to explore.  Along the way, you'll pass the Samoa Cookhouse Historic Logging Museum and the Humboldt Bay Maritime Museum.  Vist our Eat & Drink section for some delicious, local places to eat.
