Coos Bay - Sunset Bay State Park

Featuring gorgeous beaches, massive sea cliffs, camping, miles of walking trails and a variety of coastal landscapes, Sunset Bay State Park is a nice place to stop and play when in the Coos Bay area.  
The day-use and picnic areas are located right along the water to give each visitor amazing access to beachcombing, fishing, swimming and more.

The 144-site campground has ADA sites, group sites, 32 standard sites, 66 tent sites and more. They offer electric, water (hot showers!) and pets are ok at most of them.  Click HERE for more info about the campground.

Campground reservations are highly encouraged during the summer and fall months. 
Other things to do in the area:
Right down the road is Shore Acres State Park.  Another great beach in the area is Bastendorff Beach Park. John Topits Park is one of the best city parks in Southern Oregon and the Oregon Dunes Recreation Area is just north in Reedsport.  Coos Bay is also home to the Coos Art Museum and Coos History Museum & Maritime Museum.
