This beautiful park is popular for kayaking, fishing and beachcombing as well as just being a chill place to relax.  Elk are likely to be seen along the shores of the lagoon, adding to the coolness of the place.  The Pacific Ocean lies just over a small strip of beach which seperates it from the lagoon, offering visitors two diverse enviornments in one park.  A walk along this strip of beach can't be beat for it's peacefulness and awe-inspring views.
How to get there:
Kayak and boating entrances are located on Highway 101 at the Visitor's Center.  You can't miss them in front of the Lagoon.  Just north of the visitor's center is an entrance to a short road that will take you down to the north side of the lagoon.
More info:
Don't forget sunscreen, water, food, etc.
Other things to do in the area:
Big Lagoon and Dry Lagoon are just to the south.  Freshwater Lagoon is a few minutes to your north.  If you have a little time on your hands, Fern Canyon and Gold Bluffs Beach are also in the area and located within Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park.
