Come early to sign up for the Open Mic – if you have a band and want to perform for a concert, talk to us at the jam. This event usually shuts down at about 4:00 PM. There is usually a jam session that breaks out in the Dining Room. Both of these family-friendly events are similar and will have musicians of all ages and skill levels that come and show up. We are glad to see just about any acoustic instrument. Mostly you will see Fiddles, Flattop Guitars, Mandolins, Banjos, Dobro’s and upright Basses. Everyone is welcome to come down and join in the fun, join in and play or just watch and even sometimes dance. All events are open and free to the general public. Sometimes an event will get canceled – sometimes its our fault and sometimes not. In any case – if you are on the email list we will do our best to let you know what is going on and if a “normal” event gets canceled. We also send out local music event notices – especially announcements from the Oaksong Music Society and other concerts that we feel our members would be interested in attending.
