Located just 1 mile south of the Subway Cave, Hat Creek Campground, usually open late April through October, offers basic conveniences in one of Northern California's most incredible outdoor areas.  
The sites offer; fire rings, flush/vault toilets, picnic tables, a nature trail and access to the adventure that surrounds you. 
The campground is located next to Hat Creek which offers some amazing trout fishing and if you don't have time to camp but want to fish here, there is free, day-use parking available. 
How to get there:
The campground is located right off of Highway 89; a few miles south of the Highway 44 split.

The campsites are on a first come, first served basis and are $16/night.  There is a 14 day limit. 
Things to do in the area:
Old Station is home to the Subway Cave Lava Tube; walk where the lava flowed! The Hat Creek Radio Observatory and Burney Falls State Park are both just a short drive up Highway 89.  The Northwest entrance to Lassen Volcanic National Park is about 15 minutes away as well.
