Camping at Shasta Lake is pretty awesome anytime of the year.  Campers have quite a few options when it comes to where around the lake they want to camp. 
Each campground offers basic amenities and are all family friendly.  The list below is for standard campgrounds available at the lake.

Antlers Campground 
This campground sits on a bluff above the lake and although some sites are near the lakeshore, direct access to the water is very difficult.
The campground has a good amount of shade and being up on a bluff, is pretty flat all around.  Each campsite has a paved parking spot, table, bear boxes, and a fire ring.
There is also a boat launch, toilets and drinking water available. 
$20 Single / $35 Double - Typically open early March through late October. 


Bailey Cove Campground
The Bailey Cove Campground is forested, providing a lot of shade and is one of the more popular campgrounds at Shasta Lake.  The campground has a pretty cool trail nearby and offers picnic tables, drinking water, bear boxes, a fire ring and flush toilets.  
There is a boat ramp nearby so if you're brining your boat, this may be a good campground for you. 
$20 Single / $35 Double - Typically open year-round but you can only make reservations from May - September.  

Ellery Creek Campground  
Located on the McCloud Arm of the lake, this campground offers mostly shaded spots, a picnic table, tent pads, a fire ring and bear boxes. 
When the lake is fairly high, boats can be moored on the lake, very near the campground, making this a popular campground. 
$20 Single - Typically open April - September.  Reservations in advance are highly encouraged here. 

Gregory Creek Campground (group campground)  
This small group campground is pretty basic and offers limited privacy between sites.  Because the water has been low at the lake, there is a steep drop to get to the lake which offers fishing, swimming, watersports and boating. 
The grounds do offer picnic tables, toilets, fire rings and drinking water.
 The campground is typically open May through September but the operating season is subject to change for bald eagle habitat protection.

Hirz Bay Campground  
Hirz Bay Campground has individual campsites as well as two group campgrounds.  There is a boat ramp here making it a popular campground for those looking to get out on the water.  Campers are also treated to direct access to the Hirz Bay Trail.  
The individual sites have a table, bear boxes and a fire ring.  The grounds also have drinking water and flush toilets. 
$20 Single / $35 Double - Typically open May - September.

Lakeshore East Campground  
The Lakeshore  East Campground is open to tent campers and also has some Yurts for rent.  Each campsite has a paved surface area, fire ring, a picnic table and food storage locker.
This campground is also close to both the Antlers and Sugarloaf boat ramps. 

There are three Yurts located at the Lakeshore East campground. Yurts are generally classified as a tent but the yurt is much stronger and weather tight. One of the Yurts has an accessible ramp.
The grounds also have flush toilets, drinking water and plenty of parking.
$20 Single / $35 Double - Typically open May through September. 
Yurts are $65/night or $85 if you want a deluxe Yurt.

Lower Jones Valley Campground  
Located in a small canyon adjacent to the lake, the Lower Jones Valley Campground has picnic tables, fire rings, vault toilets, bear boxes and drinking water. 
There is a boat ramp nearby and the Clickipudi Trail is also close.
$20 Single / $35 Double - These campsites are available on a first come, first served basis. 

McCloud Bridge Campground 
Very near the McCloud Bridge Day Use Area, the campground is set amongst fruit trees; right along the lake.  
The campsites feature picnic tables, fire rings, paved parking spots and bear boxes.  There are also vault toilets and drinking water available. 
These sites are $20 Single and $35 Double and are on a first come, first served basis.  The campground is typically open from early April through the end of October. 

Moore Creek Campground (group/family) 
This group campground is typically open from May to September and is $140/night.  Both tents and RV's are welcome here.  
The grounds have picnic tables, fire rings, bear boxes, vault toilets and access to drinking water. 
You need to make a reservation to online or call 1-877-444-6777 to get yours. 

Nelson Point Campground (group/family) 
The family campground is $20/night or rent the group campground (up to 60 people) for $110/night.
The grounds have picnic tables, grill/stove, fire rings, tent pads, bear boxes and paved parking. There are also vault toilets but no drining water here.

Pine Point Campground (group/family)  
The family campground is $20/night or rent the group campground (up to 60 people) for $110/night.
The grounds have picnic tables, grill/stove, fire rings, tent pads, bear boxes an paved parking. There are also vault toilets but no drinking water here.
