Redding - Clear Creek Gorge Overlook

16355 Clear Creek Road
Redding, California 96001
Shasta County

Clear Creek Gorge isn't a park in the traditional sense and in some ways that makes it better.  The park has picnic tables, walking trails, access to Clear Creek where you can fish & swim and beautiful views.
Sitting along the Clear Creek Trail and very near the Horsetown Clear Creek Preserve, the park is a great place to bring some food while enjoying the sunshine and fresh air.

How to get there:
Clear Creek Gorge is located along Clear Creek Road, a few miles west of Highway 273.  You'll see signs along Clear Creek Road for the park.  Check out the map for more specific directions.
More info:
There are bathrooms on site.  During spawning season (July-September), you can see the salmon working their way up the creek.

Other things to do in the area:
Anderson River Park is pretty close and sits right along the Sacramento River.  Walk one of the loops at the Cloverdale Trailhead which is nearby.   Check out our Event Calendar for upcoming and special events happening in the area.
