Caldwell Park is a pretty sweet seventy-three acre park located in downtown Redding, right along the Sacramento River.  Take a walk along the water, enjoy the wide open spaces that the park has to offer and be sure to stop by the Carter House Gallery while you're there.  
The park is also home to the Redding Aquatic Center, soccer filelds, basketball courts, horse shoe pits, children's play areas and much much more.

The park is located at S Market Street and Quartz Hill Road.  Take a look at the map for more specific directions.
