Red Bluff - (8 Miles; O&B) - Hog Lake Trail

Highway 36
Red Bluff, California 96080
Tehama County

The Hog Lake Trail is a fantastic service road trail just outside of Red Bluff.  This is an easy trail that walkers, mountain bikers, families and horse owners will enjoy.
The trail offers wide-open views and a very peaceful environment.  At multiple times along the trail, hikers will see Mt. Shasta and Mt. Lassen looming in the background.
The trail itself is wide and easy but there are quite a few rocks on and along the trails; not a big surprise considering the trail is near Lassen.  Good tennis shoes or hiking boots will do just fine on this trail.
Because it's an out and back trail that offers similar views along the way, visitors can choose where they decide to turn around without missing anything of significance.
If you're looking for an easy, peaceful hike, check out the Hog Lake Trail.
