The Chamise Peak Trail is argueably one of the best in the area. It's an easy-to-moderate hike up 2.4 beautiful miles that lead to unparalleled views. The trail is well-maintained and there is quite a bit of shade.
Distance: 4.8 miles, to the top and back.
Degree of Difficulty: Easy
Dogs: Yes, leashed. Please clean up after your pets.
Camping: There is no camping on site but our Shasta County Camping section has lots of options.
How to get there: There are a few ways to get there depending on where you start. We generally go to the Flanagan Road parking lot which is what is shown on the map.
More info: There are no bathrooms or drinking water at this trailhead. Horses and bikes are welcome here too.
