Brandy Creek Falls is a gorgeous series of cascading waterfalls at Whiskeytown National Recreation Area that are featured in two sections; Lower and Upper Falls.  There is a three mile round-trip hike that is fairly moderate but very manageable and an eight mile round-trip hike that is a little more intense.  The paths are well maintatined and along the way, hikers are treated to some sweet views of Brandy Creek.  There is lots of shade as the trails take you through a second-growth forest and plenty of places to stop and rest when needed.
Distance:  The shorter route is a 3 mile round-trip hike and the other is an 8 mile round-trip trek.

Degree of Difficulty:  The shorter route is easy while the longer route is moderate.
Dogs:  On leash only.
Camping:  There is plenty of great camping at Whiskeytown.  Click HERE for more information.
How to get there:
From the Visitor Center, take Kennedy Memorial Drive into the park.  Where the road splits, stay to the right and cross the dam.  About two and a half miles later, you have two options;
1)  You can park at Brandy Creek Beach and pick up the trailhead there.  This will make the hike to the falls an 8 mile round-trip adventure.
2.  When you get to Brandy Creek Beach, take Brandy Creek Road to the left and follow it 2.5 miles to the top parking lot.  This is the trailhead where the hike will be a 3 mile round-trip.
More info:
Bring plenty of water; it can get hot and there is no potable water along the way.  It can get slippery at the top so wear good shoes and don't forget your camera.
