Montgomery Creek - Potem Falls

This beautiful seventy foot waterfall is a popular place for swimming, photography and just relaxing. It's a bit of a drive to get there but only a short trail down to the falls and certainly worth the effort.
Pack a picnic and bring your friendly dog for a fun time at Potem Falls.
How to get there:
From Redding, take Highway 299 East toward Montgomery Creek. Before you reach the town of Montgomery Creek, take Fenders Ferry Road to your left. This dirt road will go about 9.5 miles before you reach the falls. Once you cross the water, there will be very limited parking on your left about a half-mile later.

Other things to do in the area:
Hatchet Creek Falls isn't too far away and a great place to take a swim. If you continue East on 299, you'll run into Burney Falls State Park.
