Austin Park is a pretty sweet community park on the shores of Clear Lake and has plenty of space to spread out a blanket and relax while enjoying the beautiful views. There are also picnic tables and bbq pits, a short trail, a playground and access to the water. 
Grab some food, a frisbee or other park toys and spend an afternoon at the park.  Don't forget your swimsuit!
How to get there:
From Highway 53, take Olympic Drive and the park will be on the corner of Olympic Drive and Lakeshore Drive.

Other fun things to do in the area:
Tatonka Land Mini Golf is just down the road.  The incredible Anderson Marsh State Historic Park is also nearby.  Just to the south in Middletown, visit the Gibson Museum or do some Wine Tasting.
