The Historic Courthouse Museum in Lakeport features the history of the county as well as extensive information about local Native American history.  In fact, the museum contains one of the biggest collections of Eastern Pomo basketry in the world.  Native Americans played an important role in the area and nowhere else can you find that heritage displayed more impressively. 
How to get there: 
The museum is located in downtown Lakeport, just a few blocks from the shores of Clear Lake.  Take a look at the map for your best route to get there.

The museum is open Wednesday - Saturday; 10am-4pm and Sundays; 12pm-4pm.  
Other fun things to do in the area: 
Library Park is within walking distance of the museum.  There are also some great wineries in Lakeport if you're looking to do some wine tasting while in the area.
