Fort Bragg - Glass Beach

Located within MacKerricher State Park, Glass Beach is the result of people dumping trash on the beach and the ocean pounding the glass, pottery and other materials into the colorful pieces that you see today.  
Although it had a rather "trashy" start, the beach is pretty amazing now and one of the most popular attractions in Mendocino County. 
How to get there:
From Main Street in downtown Fort Bragg, take West Elm toward the ocean.  It will "T" at Old Haul Road.  Find parking along the street and the trail will be obvious.

Parking is in a residential area, please be respectful.  Although tempting, don't take home any souvenirs so that future visitors can enjoy the area too. 
Other things to do:
Visit MacKerricher State Park proper (just a few miles north), the Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens or one of the area's incredible Art Galleries and Museums.
