A popular place for swimmers, kayakers, campers, hikers and those who love to fish, this state recreation area, which covers more than 1,000-acres, boasts two miles of Eel River frontage.  There are also over ten miles of trails which show off the beauty of the park.  It's a great park that is definitely worth a visit and located conveniently right off the highway. 
How to get there:
The park can be found right along Highway 101, less than two miles north of Leggett.
 
Camping info:
The campground is open year-round and the campsites are well equipped and come with fire-pits and other conveniences.
