Known for its old growth redwoods and proximity to some of the area's best wineries, Hendy Woods State Park, just eight miles west of Boonville, offers walking trails, camping, swimming and other outdoor fun.  It's also a popular spot for canoeing and kayaking. 
At the visitor center there are interpretive exhibits, educational programs and other family-friendly activities. 

Don't forget your camera, this place is absolutely stunning! 
How to get there:
Hendy Woods is just west of Philo, CA.  Take Highway 128 west until you see Greewood Road which will lead you into the park.

The park offers 87 total campsites featuring different amenities including fire pits and picnics tables.

Dogs are welcome at the park but must be leashed at all times.  Visit the Park's Website for camping and other information.
