The Crocker Art Museum is one of the leading art museums in California.  It was established in 1885 and was the first public museum founded in the Western United States.
The museum offers a diverse variety of special exhibitions and programs to complement its collections of Californian Art, European Art, International Ceramics, Photography, Asian Art and African and Oceanic Art.
How to get there:
The museum is located just a few blocks from Capitol Park; check out the map for your best route to get there.  Parking is tight in downtown Sacramento so bring change for the meters or look for a nearby parking garage.
More info:
Take a look at the Museum's Website for more information about special events, hours and prices.
Other fun things to do in the area:
Visit the California Automobile Museum, the Captiol Museum and/or The California Museum while in town.  Folsom Lake is a fun place to spend a day in or along the water.  Cheer on Sacramento's favorite baseball team and attend a Sacramento River Cats game.
