Named in honor of Sheriff Charlie Byrd, California's first African American Sheriff, the park features a basketball court, a multi-purpose field that is great for soccer, frisbee or just goofing off, a playground, picnic areas and one of the best skate parks in Northern California.

The park is located right off of Highway 97 in Weed. Take a look at the map for your best route to get there.

A visit to the Living Memorial Sculpture Garden is a unique experience. Catch a race at Siskiyou Motor Speedway in Yreka or head south to Mt. Shasta and play in the water at Lake Siskiyou or take a hike at Black Butte.
