The Chetco Museum is dedicated to discovering, preserving and sharing the story of the Chetco River and its people. It's also home to the state's largest Monterey Cypress which was planted in the 1850's.  The museum is open Mid-April through October; Thursday - Sunday.  
How to get there:
The Chetco Museum is located almost halfway between Brookings and the California Border in Harbor.  From 101 in either direction, take Museum Road and you'll see the museum.

Other things to do in the area:
Crissey Field State Rec Area is just to the south and has a great beach and visitor center.  In Brookings, don't miss Azalea Park and Harris Beach
