Gaumer's Mineral and Mining Museum in Red Bluff features over fifty years and four generations of collecting.  Beautiful rare gem and mineral specimens from around the world, stone carvings, fossils, Native American artifacts and a fluorescent mineral display are popular features at the museum.
There is also a really cool and a detailed replica of an old mine tunnel complete with ore car, tracks and mining equipment on display.  Even those who don't consider themselves rock hounds or collectors will enjoy a visit to this museum.  

How to get there:
From I-5 in either direction, take the Antelope Blvd (Highway 36) exit west.   Belle Mill Road will be on your right almost immediately and the museum will be on your left.
