Through the interpretation of history, culture, art, traditions and ways of life of the Wintu People, their neighbors and all native people, the Wintu Cultural Museum is dedicated to deepening the understanding, promote accuracy, sensitivity and respect for the culture, heritage and history of the Wintu people. 
How to get there:
From I-5, take the Shasta Dam Blvd exit and head west.  The museum will be on your right after you pass Washington Avenue.

The museum is open Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 11am-3pm.  
Other things to do in the area: 
Clair Engle Park and Margaret V Polf Regional Park are both nearby.  Head out to Shasta Lake and spend a day on the water and take a tour of Shasta Dam while you're there.  The northern trailhead for the Sacramento River Trail is also nearby.
