Located near Anderson, the Coleman National Fish Hatchery (CNFH) sits along the Battle Creek tributary of the Sacramento River and is responsible for the production of various species of fish including Chinook Salmon and Steelhead which migrate out to and back from the Pacific Ocean via the Sacramento River.
The fishery also hosts special events and educational programs that the public is welcome to attend.
How to get there:
From Highway 101, take the Balls Ferry Road exit and follow it until you reach Ash Creek Road. Right after you cross the Sacramento River, take a right on Grover Road and then a left on Coleman Fish Hatchery Road and follow it to the end.
