Spanning the Sacramento River, the Sundial Bridge connects the McConnell Arboretum to Turtle Bay Exploration Park.  The bridge, constructed in 1999, is open to walkers and bikers (it's also part of the Sacramento River Trail) and is a pretty cool place to visit when in the downtown area.
How to get there:
The bridge is located in downtown Redding.  There are quite a few ways to get there depending on your starting point.  Check out the map for your best route.
More info:
The Sundial Bridge is the world's largest working sundial.
Other things to do in the area:
Shasta County is also home to some wonderful Parks and if you're looking to get on the road, our Road Trip section is full of fun things to do no matter what direction you decide to go.
