Let's face it, Redding gets hot!  Fortunately, in addition to some of the great lakes and river swim spots, the Redding Aquatic Center is another convenient option when you want to cool off.  Located in Caldwell Park, and right next to the Redding Skate Park, the Redding Aquatic Center has a kid's play area, waterslide, lap pool and diving boards. 
The Center is open Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays through the warm (and hot!) months and costs just a few dollars to enter.  Contact them directly for open dates and prices.

The Redding Aquatic Center is located right along the Sacramento River in downtown Redding.  Take a look at the map for your best route to get there.

The Redding Aquatic Center offers water safety classes, swim lessons and other water related educational programs.  It has also partnered with Whiskeytown Lake, the Redding Yacht Club and California State Parks to offer boating, sailing, kayaking and other open water instructional classes.  Get ahold of them for more information.
