Weed - Camping at Lake Shastina

Dwinnell Way
Weed, California 96094
Siskiyou County
Phone: 530-938-3281

Sitting along the shores of Lake Shastina, the campground features fire pits, picnic table and little else; although it is its simplicity that makes it so attracive (and free!).  Enjoy the beauty of the lake, with Mt Shasta towering above, as you relax and enjoy the peace that you'll find here.
There are 20 camp spots available with most of the spots very close to the lake and the rest of them right on the lakeshore.
There is no potable water or shower facilities but bathrooms are available.
How to get there:

From Highway 97, heading out of Weed, take Ordway Road left and then take a left on Jackson Ranch Road.  Shortly after turning on Jackson Ranch Road, make a right on Dwinnell Way which will lead you to the lake and campground.
More info:
There is a very short trail that gives you incredible views of the lake and surrounding area.  It's less than a mile, round-trip, and you can get more information about it HERE
Other things to do in the area:
Charlie Byrd Community Park in Weed is a great park with a pretty cool skatepark, playgrounds and picnic areas.  If you're looking to play some Disc Golf, check out the College of the Siskiyous Course.  The Weed Historic Lumber Town Museum is also a really cool stop.  The Living Memorial Sculpture Garden is a must-visit when in the area.
