Hiking, fishing, swimming, camping and more can be enjoyed at beautiful Lake Shastina, just north of Weed.  With Mt. Shasta towering in the background, a visit to the lake provides for a relaxing afternoon.
Grab some food and head out to the lake while you're in the area.

How to get there:
From Highway 97, heading out of Weed, take Ordway Road left and then take a left on Jackson Ranch Road.  Shortly after turning on Jackson Ranch Road, make a right on Dwinnell Way which will lead you to the lake and campground.
Camping info:
There are twenty camping spots at Lake Shastina that have fire pits and picnic tables.  Most of the spots are very close to the lake with some of them being located right on the lakeshore.  There is no potable water or shower facilities but bathrooms are available.  Click HERE for more info about camping at Lake Shastina.
More info:
There is also a very short trail that gives you incredible views of the lake and surrounding area.  It's less than a mile, round-trip, and you can get more information about it HERE
