Trinidad - Luffenholtz Beach County Park

Scenic Drive
Trinidad, California 95570
Northern Humboldt
Website

Luffenholtz Beach is one of the prettiest beaches in Humboldt County.  With amazing views of the coastline and Trinidad Harbor, the drive to the beach alone is worth it.
Take the stairs down to the bottom where you'll find a clean, beautiful beach full of tide pools, large boulders and its own creek.  Bring a frisbee, a book or just settle in for some sunshine and fresh air.  It's also an excellent place for a picnic.
How to get there:
From Highway 101, take the Trinidad exit west and make a left on Scenic Drive.  Luffenholtz Beach will be on your right about 2 miles down the road.
More info:
This is a day use only park with no fees.  Please pack out your garbage.  For more information, check out the park's Website.
Other things to do in the area:
Patrick's Point and Trinidad State Beach are two other great places to play.  If you head further north while on your Humboldt Road Trip, spend a day exploring Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park
