 A one-time bustling lumber town, the Westwood Museum showcases what life was like in Westwood back in the early 1900's.  The museum features memorabilia about the people, the woods and the old mill that gave rise to this beautiful little town. 
As a service to the community, the Westwood Museum serves to preserve, restore, receive, hold and display items from the area of significant historical value and interest.   
Stop by the museum when you're road tripping through the area. 

How to get there:
From Highway 36, take Mooney Road into town.  Make a left on Ash Street and the museum will be on your right, just past 4th Street.

The museum has limited hours; call ahead to make sure it's open.  Follow the Museum on Facebook for updates and more information. 
Other things to do in the area:
Westwood Park is just a few blocks away.  In Chester, spend the day at beautiful Lake Almanor or at Butt Valley Reservoir which offers swimming, camping and other outdoor fun.
