The Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area is 40+ miles of rolling, sculpted sand dunes that are just waiting for you to come and enjoy!  In addition to the incredible OHV riding you can do here, there is also hiking, camping, birding and many other outdoor opportunities at the park.
This is the northern most point of interest on our Southern Oregon Coast road trip list. If your road trip takes you up this far, we hope you enjoy the park as much as we did.  Have a safe trip!
How to get there:
Depending on your starting point, there are a number of ways to get there.  Check out the map for your best route.
Camping info:
The area offers tent camping, cabins, remote camping access and OHV camping.  Check the park's Website for more information on the one you're looking for.
More info:
There are free maps of the area (and some you can purchase) available online
Other fun things to do in the area:
Just to the south in Coos Bay, find Bastendorff Beach, Empire Lakes and the South Slough National Estuarine Research Reserve. The Coos Art Museum and the Historical and Maritime Museum  are also great places to visit while in the Coos Bay area.
