If your Lassen Road Trip takes you to Susanville and you're looking for a chill park to enjoy a picnic or just relax for a little while, Memorial Park is a good choice.
The park has a playground, skate park, a short trail and plenty of picnic tables that sit out in the sun and underneath the shade of some big, beautiful oak trees.
It's a great place to toss a frisbee, fly a kite or just relax.
How to get there:
From Main Street in downtown Susanville, go north on N Weatherlow Street and then make a right on North Street; you'll see the park on your right.

Adjacent to the park, you'll find the Lassen Historical Museum and the historic Roop's Fort.

If you're looking to explore the beauty of the area, take a walk or go for a bike ride at Susanville Ranch Park. The Historic Susanville Raildroad Depot is an interesting stop or spend the day playing in the water and enjoying the beauty of Eagle Lake.
