Humboldt Lagoons State Park consists of Big Lagoon, Dry Lagoon, Stone Lagoon and Freshwater Lagoon.  Located approximately 15 minutes north of Trinidad, the parks offer a variety of activities from kayaking and fishing to bird watching and beachcombing.  Bring some food and have a picnic and enjoy the day at one or all of the Lagoons.
You can Camp at Big Lagoon and rent kayaks and paddleboards at the Visitor Center located at Stone Lagoon.
How to get there:
Humboldt Lagoons State Park starts about 15 minutes north of Trinidad.  Big Lagoon, Dry Lagoon, Stone Lagoon and Freshwater Lagoon are all right along (or just off) Highway 101 as is the Visitor Center as you continue north.

Other fun things to do in the area:
