Humboldt Lagoons State Park consists of Big Lagoon, Dry Lagoon, Stone Lagoon and Freshwater Lagoon.  Located approximately 15 minutes north of Trinidad, the park offers a variety of activities from kayaking and fishing to bird watching and beachcombing.  Each of the parks within the bigger park are perfect for a picnic so bring some food and enjoy a day exloring them all.  
You can Camp at Big Lagoon and rent kayaks and paddleboards with Kayak Trinidad at Big Lagoon or at the Visitor Center located at Stone Lagoon.
How to get there:
Humboldt Lagoons State Park starts about ten miles north of Trinidad.  Big Lagoon, Dry Lagoon, Stone Lagoon and Freshwater Lagoon are all right along (or just off) Highway 101 as is the Visitor Center as you continue north.
